This course supports Early Intervention professionals who complete evaluations in making informed decisions about young children’s social-emotional development during the evaluation process. Grounded in the CASEL framework and Pennsylvania’s Early Learning Standards, it emphasizes developmental and cultural perspectives, the use of multiple sources of information, and how skills across developmental domains interact in meaningful ways within everyday routines. This course also addresses when and how to use targeted, research-based social-emotional assessments to support accurate Early Intervention eligibility decisions and recommendations.
