Note: this course requires the completion of activities in an early childhood classroom environment. You will need to: 1) Work in or have access to an early childhood classroom/setting and 2) Start the course at the beginning of the month to allow time to complete the classroom based activities. 



Description
This online course provides early childhood educators with information, insights, and opportunities for practice related to the implementation of universal design and universal design for learning across all early childhood settings. The course will provide the learner with the opportunity to apply and assess the use of universal design in both the curriculum and the classroom environment. The course will provide the learner with strategies for using UDL guidelines and principles in the instructional design of both the curriculum and the early childhood setting.

Intended Audience
Classroom teachers, early intervention staff and others working in early childhood settings across Pennsylvania programs including Head Start, Early Head Start, Pre-K Counts, Child Care, private nursery schools and Early Intervention.
