Description
The purpose of this course is to assist you in
the process of accurately identifying children who are experiencing challenges
in their social-emotional development, through the Early Intervention
evaluation process. In this course you will have opportunities to review
information on the policies and regulations that guide the Early Intervention
evaluation process, review social-emotional constructs and competencies,
identify and apply strategies for gathering, integrating and interpreting
information throughout the evaluation process, explore situations where using a
social emotional tool during the evaluation process is needed, explore
information on various social emotional evaluation tools and practice selecting
social emotional tools as a key part of the evaluation process. This course is
designed for multiple types of users, including:
- Participants taking the course for credit
- Participants accessing this course content as a refresher
- Participants using this course content as an open resource to support their work.
