This Embedded Instruction for Early Learning course focuses on identifying the features of learning targets and making a plan to embed instruction on these learning targets during children’s daily routines and activities. To help preschool Early Intervention professionals in Pennsylvania implement Embedded Instruction for Early Learning, this course describes the features of learning targets, the process for determining “the fit” between learning targets and daily activities through activity-based observations, and identifying strategies for engineering a logical fit. Finally, this course will support Early Intervention professionals in partnering with Early Childhood Education professionals when collaboratively developing learning targets and determining when to work on identified learning targets within the classroom.
